Harvesting our fields, feeding our neighbors

We help farmers harvest their surplus crops to increase food security in Knox County.

Our volunteers work with local farmers, orchards, and backyard gardeners by collecting and distributing healthy local produce to food pantries and other food distribution sites. These efforts increase food security and decrease food waste.

2024 was a transition year as some folks needed to step away from the Knox County Gleaners program. In order to continue the program, Come Spring Food Pantry absorbed Knox County Gleaners and made it a program within the pantry. Because of the transition we did not glean as many farms this year as we would have liked, we hope to grow the program over the next few years with the support of the community and local farms!
