Our Partners
The pantry works hand in hand with both partner service organizations and local businesses to advance our mission.
About Our Partners
Partnerships are a critical aspect of the pantry’s mission and operations. We know we can’t solve food insecurity alone, working together we are able to have a greater impact.
Union Farmer’s Market: The Union Farmer’s Market is held on Fridays during the growing season from 3 – 6 just outside the food pantry and hosts local farmers selling their goods and produce! The Harvest Bucks SNAP produce & protein program is available at the market!
Sani e Felici Farm: A small scale MOFGA certified organic farm run by a husband-and-wife team since 2013. They deliver over 1,500 pounds of vegetables to area food pantries annually!
Common Market: Union’s local grocery store and market, offering fresh locally sourced foods. Common Market runs regular fundraising drives for the pantry, and has donated shopping carts for our Client Choice Shopping.
Knox County Gleaners: Knox County Gleaners has a new home collaborating with Come Spring Food Pantry to serve all of Western Knox County. The pantry hosts the Gleaner’s Cool Bot, walk in storage and is in build-out stages for a commercial kitchen for processing, creating ready to heat & eat meals along with a classroom for teaching and community events.
Waldo County Woodshed: Collaboration with a volunteer non-profit that provides free firewood for neighbors in need.
Vose Library: Our drop off location for donations of shelf stable foods during regular library hours. Knox County Gleaners provides a share table of fresh vegetables during the growing season on Fridays at the library!
Union Masonic Lodge #31: By holding a fundraising Chicken BBQ each year during the Union Founders Day events, the Mason’s help to raise the awareness of food insecurity to members of our community. These funds help to insure Come Spring Food pantry shelves are stocked for our neighbors in need.
South Hope Community Church: Volunteers from the church help us regularly on food delivery days to stock shelves and pantry organizing. They hold regular food drives and donate handmade mittens, hats and scarves to keep our recipients warm during the cold winter months!
Union Fair – Maine’s Wild Blueberry Festival & Events: Come Spring Food Pantry is invited each year to set up a display in the Fair’s Exhibition Hall and other events to inform fair and event attendees about food insecurity and need. We offer educational information on our pantry, food donation, drop off locations, hours open, volunteers needed and how to support us with financial donations.
Thank you to all our partners!
